We've had 1,000+ people signup now. (1087 to be exact - at the time of writing, that is!)

800 of those have activated their accounts via e-mail.

That's 80% of signups logging in - fantastic. We're doing so much better than we ever have done before. I think making the site registration-only was the best move we could possible take.

It keeps the majority of the trolls, perverts and other unwanted undesirables out as they tend to be too lazy to signup.

So all we have left, are the genuine people. The good people. People like you.

I'm proud of the new FC, and of my staff. My users are the ones who keep me motivated, the more I see you enjoying yourselves and the site, the harder I work to improve the site.

The community is coming along nicely, we are truly unique. There's not one other site out there that has the same sense of community as we do.

We trust our users, we don't have babysitters ("moderators" as we don't believe adults need to be told what to do. We have friendly customer service reps here to help.

As a community we have a sense of unity, a sense of pride, family-ship, friendship, trust.

I promise to carry on working hard to improve the site. Remember to always feel free to voice your suggestions and criticism to me. Your opinions matter!

I'm just about to upload new games to the arcade and write a couple of site pages!

I start my new job soon, domiciliary care! It'll be something I really enjoy. I'm really looking forward to starting.

Right, site updates. The javascript bug should be fixed now, I've had to temporarily disable the user bar as it seems that was the source of the conflict.

The next improvement i'm making is to the profile mpage. Apparently, on first load, it loads everything on the one page before putting them into the tabs, which on slower internet connections causes problems. So I'll work on this immediately.

For those of you who aren't British and are wondering why we have pancakes on our banner, tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday, aka, Pancake Day. It is an age old Christian custom in Britain, and is the day before fasting, so people pigged out on pancakes the day before.

I hope you all like the new FC so far, I'm happy to see so many people enjoying the site. The chat rooms are always busy, the forums are buzzing, there's healthy competition in the arcade, we're on a roll!

Which reminds me, later today I shall be adding new games to the arcade. I'm aiming to add a few new games each week. I'm having a programmer send me a quote for communal games, and also a football manager game - where you can create your own team & players, and compete against fellow FCers in the FC Cup. Which should be fun!

Thank you to you all for making the re-launch a success. I have the greatest users of any site, and I mean that. You're fantastic.

I'm happy and proud to be the developer for FC. I feel I should mention that I'm only an amateur developer, and still very much in my learning phase. But I feel I've done a good job with FC, I hope you agree.

Remember that all suggestions are welcome, I'm always looking to better myself.

So, cliques & trolls. Through-out 2009 FC was plagued with them. Cliques who threw temper tantrums when ever they weren't treat as superior to other users. Trolls who claimed to hate FC and yet created FC Clone sites copy/pasting my work word from word.

Since our 2010 re-launch, though, we haven't had to ban anyone. (Excluding the two spam-bots, of course).

I feel making FC registered-only was a brilliant move. Only people who genuinely want to chat, make new friends and have fun will sign up. The trolls, name-changers and elitist cliques don't seem to bother.

How does everyone else feel about guests not being able to access the chat rooms? Saves us a lot of aggro, huh?

I'm loving the members we've currently got. You're a fantastic lot. No trouble at all, just having fun and joining in - how it's meant to be. You're all friendly, welcoming but most importantly - you're open!

The worst thing a chat site can do is have one little exclusive group taking superiority over others. Site owners should never play favourites, they're only spiting their own site if they do.

FC is a community. In a community everybody is equal, I'll always stand by that and I will always treat you all fairly. There'll be no cliques here, ever.

FC - don't be part of a clique. Be part of a community!

I couldn't ask for better members than all of you. Thank you for welcoming FC back onto your screens, and for those of you who are just lurking and are unsure of whether to register or not - do so! Bygones are bygones and it's a new decade, a new era. Slates have been wiped clean and it's a fresh start. I've even deleted my IP database to give everyone a truly fresh start, you're welcome to sign up under an alias and it'll be kept secret.

All I want is the best for you. Don't spite yourself out of joining in on the fun because it might offend 'the clique'. Stuff the clique, be your own person and come say hi!

Welcome to my first blog entry. Here I am demonstrating a simple, easy to use in-profile blog. Here you can write your day-to-day events and happenings and share it with the FC Community. To configure your blog, go into Edit -> Update Profile -> Blog.

As I develop and play with FC, instead of filling the forums up with all the boring details (obviously I'll post the more important announcements there) I'll just waffle on in here, instead. My blog

Today I have installed profile commenting, the blog, the guestbook/profile rating, written the page new users first get directed to the first time they login, the page members are auto-directed to, I've installed a feature where I am automatically added to new users profiles so they can receive a personal welcome from me right away.

I've made the chat font bigger, the chat window bigger (it's now in a browser pop-up so you can move it around and enlarge it at your will).

I've removed PicShare from the public so the chat window isn't scrolled with thousands of mundane pictures. But you are still free to share pictures in the chat's file library, or via picshare in PM

I must say, the site's coming along nicely to say it's only in alpha stages. Tomorrow I'll be customizing the emoticons, the forums and adding more site pages, including the quiz page.
