Privacy
We care a great deal about your privacy and will never
give out any information we hold on you to any third party. Such information includes e-mail address, alternate usernames,
IP addresses and any personal information you might volunteer to the management. You have the right to contact
us at anytime and find out what information we hold on you, if any.
How We Use Your Information
The only information Friendly Chat staff will use of yours is your IP address. Even then, that's only in the chat room.
Message Board moderators, except for the Founder, cannot even see your IP address or alternate usernames.
Your IP address identifies your connection to the internet. We use this information to ban you from our services if you
have been in serious breach of our TOS.
Your e-mail address is never used unless you have subscribed to our newsletter where it will be used to send you an e-mail
once every month or two with FC updates.
Transcripts
Due to recent legislation we are required by law to keep a record of all conversations - public and private.
Public transcripts can only be seen by one person; the Founder of Friendly Chat and no-one else.
Transcripts are never looked into unless a complaint has been made via the contact form. Again, only the founder of Friendly
Chat has access to these e-mails. We take your privacy very seriously.
Private transcripts are kept on record, locked safely away on a secure server incase of any future police inquiries (such
as if there's been an allegation of serious sexual harassment or stalking).
Your Rights Of Knowledge
You have every right to know what, if any, information we hold against you. If you'd like to know simply contact us via
the contact form and we will happily tell you.
