I have used AVG for years, it's free, very reliable and doesn't clog up your machine like others do.

I have never had a problem with it.

I use Kapersky internet security 2010 which includes anti-virus.

Can I ask why you wish to change.

Comparison tests have been showing AVG slipping down the league tables over the past year or so and no longer cuts the mustard. Before Kapersky I used the free version of Avast which I found reliable. I only changed for the extras that Kapersky offered.

Kaspersky is rated as one of the leading anti virus software companies. But, you have to pay for it. In my humble opinion I would suggest you stick with them.

There are alternatives though. In the 'Freebie world' AVG is a good option. I use AVG on both my home (Desktop PC) and my Laptop. In addition I also use Ad-Aware pro which I paid for. This gives the additional security because it's the leading anti spyware/malware software.

If there were no freebie alternatives than I would buy Kaspersky.
